The young man and the girl meet four consecutive nights in the same place, each telling the other his or her life honestly and sincerely, not hiding anything from the other. This character is one of the most beloved characters created by Dostoevsky, and among Dostoevsky himself, it is the closest to his heart and he preferred it in himself, and this character will appear in more than one of his works.
